Parks & Recreation Dept.:

The Jennings Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for the supervision and maintenance of all city parks.  The department is also responsible for organizing and supervising all recreation activities such as football, soccer, basketball, and baseball - softball.  The War Memorial swimming pool is under the direction of the Parks & Recreation Dept.  Baseball fields are maintained and prepared for games by the department.  The Parks & Recreation Dept. employs 4 full time employees.

• Football is for boys ages 10-12
• Soccer is for children 7-13
• Basketball is for boys 9-14
• Baseball-softball is for boys and girls 6-16
• Jennings also has a swim team

Southside or Peters Street Park ..... Tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball and softball fields, playground equipment, pavilion, fresh water and electricity.

Davis Park - On West Street ..... Playground equipment and baseball fields.

Franklin Park - On West Division Street ..... Tennis courts, basketball courts, softball field, playground equipment, pavilion, fresh water and electricity.

War Memorial Pool - On N. Lake Arthur Ave. ..... Swimming pool and playground.

Cutting Park - On N. Cutting Ave. ..... Tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, playground equipment, fresh water and electricity.

Zigler Park-Baseball Complex - On E. Academy Ave. ..... 9 baseball fields, playground equipment.

Louisiana Oil & Gas Park (I-10 Park) - Interstate 10 at Hwy. 26 ..... playground equipment, pavilions, 6/10 mile walking track, 10 acre fishing pond, fresh water, electricity, and Tourist Information office located on park grounds.
